All giants were once small

When Casa CreSer grows, children grow too. We recently acquired 5.2 hectares of pristine land and river in Cobano, and on this land we’ve built dormitories fro 30 children, housing for their visiting mothers, edible forest areas, fresh water & electricity and a much more.

How we’ve grown over time

The Beginning, 2011

Sonja Bautista relocated to Cobano to dedicate her resources to feeding over 100 children and single mothers in poverty.

First House, 2017

Opening a first temporary place allowed kids to benefit from additional help on top of access to healthy food.

New Vision, 2020

In collaboration with architect Patrick Rey and with the participation of prominent entrepreneurs and philanthropists, we envisioned an ecovillage for children as a place of hope. A space that weaves together diverse human experiences and beliefs in an organic home that fosters a healing connection with nature, a sense of belonging to a community, and confidence in personal endeavors.

More Land, 2022

With the help of Marcelo Valansi, Canel Frichet acquired 5.2 hectares of undeveloped land with a river in Cóbano. This was the first step in realizing our vision and represents a space large enough to build and expand the project.

Fruit Forest & Vegetable Garden, 2023

More than 2,000 trees were planted, including hundreds of fruit trees, contributing to child nutrition and environmental awareness. Food production ensures a healthy diet and reduces operating costs.

First Dormatory, 2024

We finished the completion of the first dormitory a home for 30 endangered children.

The bedroom meets all the space and safety requirements established for residential homes.
In addition, it has cross ventilation and plenty of natural light, making it a healthy and welcoming space.

Second Dormitory, Q1 2026

We are planning to complete the second dormitory for an additional 30 beds.

3rd Dormitory & mother’s houses, Q3 2026

Completing the project with a last Dormitory and apartments for mothers, we will reach our target capacity of 100.

Starting School construction, Q4 2026

We will start the construction end of 2026, and first classroom will open for Spring 2027. The building will be entirely finish by Autumn 2027. A coding school from our Partners is also planned to be build along our project base school, operated by Real World School.

Casa CreSer will run at full capacity, Q4 2027

All dormitories will be completed, teams will be at scale, school will welcome up to 150 kids, gardens will be producing up to 50% of the fresh food needs.
