Canel Frichet – Board President
A tech entrepreneur and impact investment leader committed to social transformation. She provided the initial funding and land that made Casa CreSer possible. As Board President, she plays an active leadership role, offering strategic direction and consistently supporting the organization’s sustainability and fundraising efforts. She is also co-founder of impact-driven companies through Capital on a Mission.
Marcelo Valansi – Vice President
Argentinian by birth and Costa Rican at heart, he brings over 30 years of experience in the development of sustainable communities. He has served as a key bridge between the organization and institutional and technical stakeholders, facilitating essential partnerships and support. He is the founder and director of Ecovilla, eco-residential projects focused on sustainability and community living.
Paula Coscolin – Treasurer
A Spanish national residing in Costa Rica, she is a finance professional with experience in business analysis and financial management. She oversees fiscal, legal, and financial processes, as well as regulatory compliance for the Board of Directors. Her leadership has been instrumental in Casa CreSer’s institutional structuring and growth.
Adriana Bejarano Torres – Secretary
A Costa Rican property manager based in Santa Teresa–Cóbano, she brings deep insight into the realities and challenges of local communities. She supports operational processes and ensures that Casa CreSer maintains a close, context-informed perspective rooted in strong community ties.
Patrick Rey – Board Member
An internationally recognized French architect, he contributes a design perspective that integrates art, nature, and human experience. His projects, including the Parc national des Calanques Aquarium de Marseille and private residences, enrich Casa CreSer’s architectural and spatial vision. His reflections and strategic insights bring significant value to the project.
Amelia McLeod – Board Member
With more than ten years of experience in Costa Rica, she combines business acumen with a strong commitment to community engagement. She connects the work of Tambor Cares with Casa CreSer’s mission, supporting fundraising, volunteer initiatives, and direct assistance. She contributes organizational and financial expertise to help create lasting opportunities for the project.
James Kelly – Board Member
A resident of Santa Teresa–Cóbano since 2003, he is an executive chef and culinary consultant with nearly 30 years of experience. Deeply committed to community impact, he supports initiatives that promote long-term positive change, contributing leadership, donor engagement, and a vision centered on well-being, service, and sustainable community building.
Georgia Beasley – Board Member
Holding a degree in Global Studies and International Development, she brings 13 years of experience in nonprofit management and private philanthropy. She began her career working on reforestation projects with smallholder farmers in East Africa and Latin America — work highlighted by National Geographic and the World Food Programme. She currently resides in Santa Teresa–Cóbano.
